Children’s mental health can be damaged by lack of sleep

Researchers found that children who slept for less than seven hours had a 53% higher total behavior problem score on average and 7.8% lower total cognitive score on average, compared with those who slept for nine to 11 hours. The findings in Molecular Psychiatry were based on data involving more than 11,000 youths.
